A Thorough Home Inspector

One thing that often separates real buyer agents from the pretend
buyer agents / designated buyer agents is the type of inspectors they
recommend.

For most buyers we recommend at least medium grade inspectors but
often the real thorough guys.

This photo is of a thorough inspector who has filled the tub to check
the overflow and is standing on the tub rim to check for settling &
wood rot on this -150 year old home.

Most inspectors don't do this. Because most inspectors focus on making
real estate agents happy.

Plymouth Buyer's Agent Gets Mention on Tulsa TV Site

A writer for Bankrate.com interviewed our company President Jon Boyd some months ago for an piece he had been working on regarding real estate language.

Specifically, the topic was stuff listing real estate people will say about their listings to try to catch the attention of home buying consumers. Hint: The positive features are often exagerated.

These phrases were collected from our national association (naeba.org) and the are completely authentic.

Here is what you want to consider:

If a real estate agent customarily directs expressions like these to buyers, why would you ever want somebody like at being your buyer's agent or designated buyer's agent?

Just a idea to mull over as you search for Plymouth / Canton real estate.

Here is the article.

Sheep and LED lights do mix

One of my children is spending a couple months this summer on a farm in New York. A farm that has a variety of animals.

With that in mind I saw a great Youtube video on sheep and LED lights.

Give it a look:

Wiring you don't want to see in your garage

I was at a home this week that had this mess in the garage.

Is this how you want your wiring to look?

Anybody smart enough to do this and get the switches and outlets to
work should also be smart enough to know not to leave it like this.

Does your real estate agent know what this is?

There is a controversy in the real estate business these days where a
lot of real estate agents say they don't want to know anything about
how homes work.

I think any buyer's agent should know that this indicates a high
effeciency furnace. Normally 93-96% effecient.
